Kern High School District students put their talents on display in a number of colorful entries during Via Arte, the annual Italian Street Painting Festival held at the Marketplace.

The 48th Annual Peg Pauly Shakespeare Festival featured hundreds of students and seven KHSD drama departments with an impressive level of talent.

The Kern High School District's Principal Partners' Day was held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. The annual event welcomed 400 local business, education, and government leaders to our campuses. After morning tours and visits with students and staff, attendees gathered for a lunch and special presentation. This years theme was "Telling Our Story". The 2017 Jim Burke Light and Liberty Award was presented to Bakersfield Police Chief Lyle Martin.

The Kern High School District (KHSD) is celebrating another big increase in the local success and participation rate in the State Seal of Biliteracy program.

Community partners and educators gathered for an update on dual enrollment programs and to sign an agreement of collaboration between the Kern High School District (KHSD) and California State University, Bakersfield.
