“ We are very excited to commemorate and continue our long and positive relationship with the Kern High School District.” - Dr. Horace Mitchell, President, CSUB
The event was held at the Icardo Center on the campus of CSUB and recognized the faculty and staff developing and teaching dual enrollment classes, enabling KHSD students to earn college credits. Dual Enrollment classes currently include math, geology, and kinesiology with plans to expand those courses to include business management.
“This is a great example of the work being done in our classrooms. We appreciate everything our teachers are doing for our students every day!” - Dr. Bryon Schaefer, Superintendent, KHSD
A breakfast, ceremonial signing, and a presentation of certificates and pins to the educators involved in the success of the dual enrollment program rounded out the event and allowed additional networking opportunities between KHSD and CSUB faculty.
“The success of this program is attributed to the dedication and deep commitment of CSUB faculty and their high school counterparts who engage in regular professional development activities to promote students success. The program receives extensive support from the administration at both the Kern High School District and CSUB.” - Dr. Vandana Kohli, Associate Dean of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies, CSUB
