Students Showcase Their Skills in First-Ever Industrial Technologies Skills Challenge

With every cut, weld, and repair, over 100 students from five school sites put their technical skills to the test at the first-ever Industrial Technologies Skills Challenge (ITSC). The inaugural event provided a competitive platform for students in welding, automotive, and construction trades to demonstrate their precision, speed, and craftsmanship that meets real-world industry standards.

Local industry professionals served as judges and exhibitors, allowing students to gain hands-on experience while networking with potential employers.

"Exposing students to industry partners is crucial for their success. It helps them understand career opportunities and start building relationships," said David Carter, Supervising Administrator at ROC.

From welding artistry to vehicle diagnostics, students tackled industry-relevant challenges, proving their readiness to enter the skilled trades workforce.

Congratulations to our students, the next generation of trade-skilled professionals!
