KHSD Police Department officers and staff who wanted to participate started to grow out their beards during November and December to raise funds for the Special Olympics. This month, folks are invited to view photos of before-beard and after-beard and vote for the best and worst beards in the department. Those who vote can also choose to donate to the Special Olympics. The department has already raised $1,500, which will go directly to Special Olympics. Each contribution enriches the lives of athletes with intellectual disabilities and their communities through sports, education, and athlete health.
