More than 300 students from across the Kern High School District came together and heard words of encouragement for continuing their academic success. Bakersfield Police Chief Lyle Martin, KHSD Superintendent Dr. Bryon Schaefer, and Associate Superintendent of Instruction, Dr. Brenda Lewis encouraged leadership, mentoring opportunities, and reminded the students about the community support they have in place, to help them achieve their goals. The luncheon was held November 2, 2017 at Hodel's.
